When you contract, you are a guest in someone else's house. Their tools, their rhythms, their ways of working. The fastest way to become useful is to stop wishing their house looked like yours.
I have worked in Trello, Jira, ClickUp, Monday and half a dozen others, because that is what the client already lived in. Every one of them taught me something.
Adapt first, suggest second. If their setup is genuinely broken, earn the right to say so by delivering inside it for a while first.
The contractor who complains about the tools on day one is telling the client something about themselves, and it is not flattering.
