Field note: name the owner out loud

A hand placing a single key on a worn wooden table

The most expensive phrase in project work is we will all keep an eye on it. Nobody does. Shared ownership is where good work goes to wait.

Every task, every decision, every deliverable needs one name next to it. Not a team, not a department, a name. Said out loud, in front of everyone, so there is no ambiguity later.

This is not about blame. It is about knowing who to ask, who to help, and who gets to call something finished.

The moment a room agrees on names, the whole project gets quieter. Fewer chasing emails, fewer duplicated efforts, fewer meetings about meetings.
